Factory warranty/extended warranty check

If your vehicle is nearing the end of factory or extended warranty, let us inspect it for you.  Our experience tells us that vehicles nearing the end of a warranty sometimes end up in the hands of the person with the worst eyesight (We are trying to be diplomatic about this!).  Let us give your vehicle a clean bill of health.

 We will test drive your vehicle coming off of warranty and look it over from bumper-to-bumper on a lift (Because you can crawl around a vehicle all you want, but you can not fully inspect a vehicle properly on the ground.).  We will check EVERYTHING for function (All switches, buttons, handles, locks, etc.).  Then, we will go through our 20 step mechanical inspection. 

 We will inspect:

1. Air intake system, including air filter if accessible.
2. Battery and battery cables.
3. Brake fluid reservoir for fluid level and condition of fluid.
4. Drive belt(s) condition and tightness.
5. Cooling system reservoir level, hoses and level of protection of coolant.
6. Engine block for oil leaks.
7. Fuel system for leaks and condition of fuel lines.
8. Power steering system for fluid level, leaks, and condition of system components (Pump tie rods, drag link, gearbox, idler arm, and damper) and hoses.
9. Transmission for fluid level, fluid condition, and leaks in components or hoses.
10. Exterior lighting for illumination.
11. Wiper blade and washer fluid system for level and function.
12. Rear axles for leaks, boot condition, and CV joint condition.
13. Differential for fluid level, fluid condition and leaks.
14. Front and rear brake systems for pad thickness, brake disc condition, caliper seal leakage, and hoses for condition and leaks.
15. Exhaust system for leakage and missing/cracked hangers.
16. Suspension components (shocks/struts/bushings) for leaks and condition.
17. Tires for even wear and tread life.
18. Engine mounts for leaks and/or condition.
19. A/C system for proper function and cooling.
20. Drive shaft and flex discs for condition.

 We will document everything we see that needs attention under your warranty, or in the near future, and provide an estimate for the repairs.  If you would like, we will allow you into our bay area to see everything for yourself and talk to the technician making the report.
